A supernatural, coming of age romantic comedy-horror story, featuring, zombies, horses, a fertility goddess, the US Air Force, a sixteen year old boy with a one track mind and Walter Mitty tendencies, and a number of strong minded, determined young women.
Describing this story is difficult. The book is most certainly magical realism. At one level, it’s a coming of age story where first love is hampered by a magic wooden carving with attitude. It’s also a zombie infested horror-comedy. There are sex scenes, though I didn’t write the book as erotica. Partly it is about my hero discovering that girls are people and not objects.
It is also a period piece, it is set in 1969 for a reason, attitudes and knowledge were different back then. It is very much of that time and place, this is not an erotic novel, but it does contain sexual scenes and some strong language.
